Xtream Codes vs M3U: how IPTV logins work.

Your BOSS IPTV subscription comes with two ways to connect a player. Here is what each one means and which to use on your device.

When your BOSS IPTV subscription is activated, we send you a set of login details. Depending on the app you use, you will enter either an Xtream Codes login or an M3U link. Both open the same channels, movies and series.

Knowing the difference saves time during setup, because some players only accept one of the two.

The difference

Two ways to connect.

Xtream Codes

You enter a username, a password and a server URL. The player then loads your channels, your on-demand library and the TV guide, each in its own menu.

M3U link

One long web address that contains everything. You paste it once and the player builds the channel list from it.

What they share

Both use the same subscription and the same number of devices. You are not paying twice by using one or the other.

TV guide

Xtream Codes usually loads the EPG automatically. With M3U, some players ask for a separate guide link, which we also provide.

Which to use

Pick the one your app supports.

How to connect

Connect in 3 steps.

01

Open your player

Install the player app on your device and open it for the first time.

02

Choose the login type

Select “Xtream Codes API” if the app offers it, otherwise choose “Add playlist” or “M3U URL”.

03

Enter your details

Type the username, password and server URL we sent you, or paste the M3U link. Press add and wait a few seconds.

Need the details again? Message us on WhatsApp and we will resend them.

In detail

Keeping your login safe.

Your login is personal. It controls how many screens can watch at the same time, so sharing it outside your household can use up your connections and stop your own screens from playing.

If a device is lost or you think your details have been shared, contact us and we will change your password. Your subscription continues with the same expiry date.

Avoid typing your details on public computers, and do not post screenshots of your login in groups or forums. If you change your TV or stick, simply enter the same details on the new device.

Finally, keep the message with your login details. You will need it again if you reset a device or reinstall the app.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Can I use both Xtream Codes and M3U?

Yes. They point to the same subscription, so you can use whichever one your app supports.

Is the M3U link the same as my password?

No. The M3U link is a web address that already contains your access. Treat it as private, like a password.

My player will not accept the server URL.

Check that you copied it exactly, with no space at the start or end. If it still fails, send us a screenshot on WhatsApp.

Does the TV guide come with the login?

Yes. Most players load a 7-day guide automatically, and we can send a separate guide link if your app asks for one.

Can I change my password?

Yes. Ask us on WhatsApp and we will update it for you.

Ready to set up your player?

Pick a BOSS IPTV plan and we will send your login details and a setup guide within minutes.
